At the core of its product are proprietary algorithms, modeling and simulation techniques to identify and recommend improved processes for client hospitals and clinics.

Box Populi offers podcasting and media creation devices which require no training to operate. Their devices are released under open source licenses.

Cheetah Medical is designer of non-invasive cardiac output and hemodynamic monitoring equipment used primarily within clinical settings. Applications include fluid and drug optimization for high-risk hospital patients, monitoring for kidney failure patients and Exercise Cardiac Output (ECO®) for heart failure patients.

DesignMedix is a drug discovery company that designs and develops novel, low-cost hybrid drugs to combat drug resistance. The initial drug addresses the pressing need for an orally available, inexpensive drug to counter the spread of chloroquine-resistant malaria.

Giftango is creating mobile electronic solutions for e-commerce, gift cards and membership card industries. The initial product focuses on electronic gift cards.

Lynguent is a software company developing tools for simulation modeling and design space exploration that eliminate bottlenecks in the design, verification, and reuse of electronic systems.

Neutral Space is developing a web search platform based on rich content in an easy-to-use wiki framework to allow flexibility as well as all of the benefits of community-generated content.

OptNgn develops FPGA acceleration libraries for customers; allowing them to greatly speed up their applications.

Portland Bioscience
Portland Bioscience provides new avenues to drug screening, as well as stand-alone products for genomic analysis, assay engineering and protein diagnostics.

PowerMand offers a breakthrough in Demand Response energy saving solutions for smaller commercial sites that easily allow monitoring and reduction of power usage.

Preciva’s primary product is an electrical bioprobe that can detect cancerous and precancerous tissue of the cervix with greater accuracy, lower cost and more immediate results than the standard alternative Pap test.

S-Ray is developing a diagnostic system for the dental industry that can show 3D color images of teeth behind and under metal fillings and crowns, providing much more info at earlier stages and at a much lower cost than traditional X-ray machines.

SolutionsWorks creates innovative robotic and software system integration solutions. The company aims to apply high tech to areas that have up until now been largely overlooked by commercial industry. The first target application is a process for manufacturing glass mosaic tiles and for laying them based on graphic images using a machine. ZigBee RF embedded systems are one of SolutionsWorks' core competencies.

TimeStream Software produces Notescasts, a mobile marketing and brand interaction tool which extends a company's sales and marketing messages, as well as web site content, beyond a PC and deep into a customers' mobile lives. 

WeoGeo has created a one-stop web marketplace for mapping the world. It allows scientific and technical users to conveniently store, search, sell and exchange high-resolution CAD and GIS mapping products.

Affiliate Companies

Affiliate companies receive services and work collaboratively with the PSBA. They are not yet resident companies, but typically either have been accepted or plan to seek residency once they address key business development issues.

Acquaint Technologies addresses yield loss (excursion occurrences) for the semiconductor and other industries through equipment configuration data control.

Aztec Pacific's enRev^TM employee productivity software maximizes bottom line profits for customers by seamlessly capturing employee work by client, account or project. The product supports tracking billable hours, telecommuting work output and other applications.

GadgetTrak provides mobile device tracking, data destruction and theft recovery systems for laptops, cell phones, flash drives, cameras and other mobile devices.

Outdoor Living Encyclopedia is a software as Service (SaaS) and Content as a Service (CaaS) provider that serves customers in the outdoor living at home industry. It is a spin-out of EnVision Outdoor Living.

Strategic Partners in Residence

Strategic Partners in Residence are organizations that, like the PSBA, are focused on technology commercialization, entrepreneurship and economic development of specific sectors of the Oregon economy. They work collaboratively with the PSBA to support start-ups within their target areas.

The Oregon Bioscience Association is a regional trade association representing more than 140 members. It creates opportunity through community, collaboration and commercialization. The OBA works to accelerate research and development, attract and retain top bioscience talent and companies, and foster economic development and partnerships.

Pacific Northwest Defense Coalition works with PSU on manufacturing and engineering initiatives and also is focused on development of defense industry opportunities for companies in the Pacific Northwest.

Anchor Tenants

Anchor tenants are successful growth technology companies that have been invited to lease very large office spaces available in the PSBA. The PSBA is typical of other incubators around the country that lease about one-third of its space to large anchor tenants to provide stability through time.

BlueTech provides field-based electronic tools and web-based training designed to increase productivity for people in trade-related industries such as construction.

Eleven Wireless is an emerging leader in the billing, provisioning and settlement infrastructure for Wi-Fi network operators.
